I don't believe I've ever seen a picture of Frank Black that I can distinguish eyebrows. This even dates back to the earliest Black Francis pictures I can find (even when he had hair on his head).... I was wondering... Does he shave them (and why)? Are they so light and fair that they dont show up (although in some better pictures they are clearly not present)? Were they permanently burned off in a horrible childhood accident!? Inquiring minds want to know.
(Yes, this is a frivolous question and I have too much time on my hands.)

Have you seen the Teenager of the Year cover? There are some raised eyebrows on his face, from what I can tell.

Thats true.. I didn't think about that picture (and didn't even reference album covers) But those eyebrows are creepy! They must be fake (or maybe why he has them removed?) *conspiracy*

Yeah, when I got the vinyl TOTY and saw the cover, I thought the eyebrows looked a little abnormal (I DON'T MEAN THIS AS AN INSULT).
Good theory.

Here is a more recent picture of him. Apparently they haven't grown:

Perhaps his eyebrows were removed for studying purposes during his UFO encounter. |

If I recall correctly, he was EXPOSED to a UFO when he was an infant. But from what I understand is there was a UFO in the sky in the area, no actual contact took place. But maybe, just maybe, this could be a piece of the puzzle.... |

I just remember him mentioning a "UFO encounter" in an interview. I guess I just put two and two together. But hey - who knows what's possible? There's definitely something special about the guy. |

Here is an excerpt from an interview with Frank's Eyebrows: Q: What happened to you? FE: I existed but fell off during a chemistry lab accident at UMass. Subsequent exposure to radioactive dust during a visit to Alamogordo, New Mexico, rendered me permanently incapable of regeneration. |

My mother (Mibble) doesn't have very visible eyebrows. It is a very serious problem.
On a lighter note: His eyebrows on TotY look like the early demon Mr. Spock's.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. I mean, OBVIOUSLY, NO other human being has such undetectible eyebrows. They walk among us....(eyes to heaven!) |
