i'd say the glover album is best described as...creepy. there is a ridiculously creepy cover of "these boots are made for walking" where it sounds like an escaped mental patient is singing/crying the lyrics. there's also a rap about masturbation ("automanipulator"), readings from his book, a song that is nothing more than him spontaniously rhyming over weird circus music ("clowny clown clown"), a version of him singing "the daring young lad on the flying trapese" among other bizarre recordings. however - you must own it. you owe it to yourself to hear/play for your friends this bizarre record. plus the title is just fantastic: The Big Problem Does Not Equal The Solution. The Solution = Let It Be.
A Beatles reference? or just psychobabble? you decide!

Oh yeah-Glover plays Warhol. Him gives Morrison the gold telephone that he "talks to God" on. Tryin' to remember Gary Busey's son's name.....he had a small role in 'Contact'.
Wait, wait..actually, I think Crispin C. plays one of the Doors...er, I'm confused-no, I think he DOES play Warhol...arrrgghh! help!!

check out Reuben & Ed, too. that movie is a good laugh. plus, Frank alludes to it in "Kicked in the Taco."
It's great to see other people appreciating Crispin, the mad genius!
As a devotee of both Crispin "Hellion" Glover and Mr. Frank Black, I have no idea what reference you're speaking of. "Rubin & Ed" is one of my all-time favorites, and I can't figure this connection out for the life of me...

Dead Man is terrific, for my two centimos. You can't really go wrong with Jim Jarmusch.
