Pixies to play T in the Park
The Pixies are to play the T in the Park festival in Scotland, their first confirmed UK show for 13 years.
NME.com says the reformed group will play on the main stage on the first day of the event.
T In The Park 2004 takes place at Balado, Kinross near Glasgow, over the weekend of July 10-11.
The Pixies are expected to play some warm-up shows in North America before they appear at the Coachella bash in California on May 1.
They will go on to visit Europe between May 28 and July 10, with a host of other festival appearances planned.
The band are also thought to have a number of indoor shows pencilled in, including two nights at London Brixton Academy, as well as a support slot on Red Hot Chili Peppers' summer European tour.

Kinross is in Fife, it is not that close to Glasgow! Anyway, I'll be there.

yeah, going to have words with the girlfriend when she gets home, we've never been to T... so I reckon we should do it! want to hold out until pixies are *definately* confirmed though... anyone know when abouts tickets normally sell out?
(i can check how it's going on sunday at ticketmaster - i work there - but just curious?)

The Ticketmaster site says the Pixies are on when you go to buy the tickets -- bought mine!
How cool is that? The Pixies are playing only a handful of gigs, and one of them is only 40 minutes from where I live? "Yay"!

how quickly do people think this will sell out?
i'd rather go to a gig a bit closer to me, but what if there isn't one? or is it pretty certain there'll be more dates?

Last year, if memory serves, T In The Park was the last major UK festival to sell out. Glastonbury sold out on the day and Reading/Leeds in a couple of weeks or so. I wouldn't worry about T In The Park being their only shows. They will definately play an English festival or two. Unfortunately V is strongly rumoured to be one but happily Glasto is another and I had every intention of getting a ticket this year anyway 'cos I have never been. I also plan Reading again but that will probably have to be without the Pixies. Luckily I also said I'd have my mates spare Chili's ticket 'cos I just love going to gigs. How happy am I now that Pixies might be playing too. Answer - ECSTATIC!!!
I reckon they will also do at least a Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin and a couple of London shows. On top of that they may well do Sheffield or Liverpool and Newcastle but that's just my guess. Let's wait and see eh.  |

I'm against it but I never said I wouldn't go. Not using it as a way to meet her at all...and John Cusack as me!? Now there's a compliment if I've ever heard one! Thanks! :) I don't know who Keira Nightly is, though, but if she's hot, I'd like to fuck Keira, nightly...

And anyway,I think what Jim was getting at is the fact that he will be here in the summer, and sowhatever pixie gi i go to, he doesnt really have much choice but to go to really., hahaha.
