I heard this a while back and have no idea what album or b-sides it could be on but I love it, was anyone in the pixies Eraserhead movie fans? It's a strange song to cover considering how it was on one of the most dream-like movies of all time. I'd like to hear the whole backstory on it. :)

I haven't seen Eraserhead, but I know all the Pixies did, and liked it a lot. I think they might have even all seen it together. The song is available on Pixies at the BBC, Complete B-Sides, and Pixies (the demo CD). Maybe other places as well, but those are probably the easiest ones to find.

The song is also on the Gigantic single. I think that's the first place it showed up for most people. Eraserhead is a damn good movie. I can understand the Pixies appreciating it.

One of the back stories I remember is; Charles really liked the movie and thought is was good as a live song, but someone told him alot of other groups/bands where also playing it live. This might have been the reason they stopped playing it live.
I don't think it translated well in the studio.
The BBC version is my fav as well.

Hey Jeff, are you the same guy who wrote into NME and asked who did the lady in the radiator song? Also concerning that little article thing,NME seem quite confident that the Pixies will be playing Coachella,as they said that maybe they'll play the aforementioned song WHEN they reunite later this eyar for coachella
