hello, everyone. as many of you probably know, frank black has contributed to the soundtrack for the highly acclaimed matthew hoge film "the united states of leland." the score was composed by jeremy enigk (sunny day real estate, the fire theft), and features a few solo songs from him as well. there are also several other, talented musicians on this endeavor (robert pollard, tobin sprout and lisa germano, to name a few). the movie has overcome a long, legal struggle and will finally be released on april 9th nationwide. however, only the score will be heard as background music throughout the film. the other songs would solely be available through a soundtrack. unfortunately, mr hoge has recently posted on the fire theft's message board stating that pleximusic may not release a soundtrack to this film. he wants all of you fans to sign a message board petition which he will present to the powers that be **in the next few days**. so please please please take a minute to go here, register (you won't get any spam, but feel free to use fake info), and post your support:

haha! thanks, frog in the sand! for some mysterious reason i like your name as well.
