Have you actually taken the time to watch one of those, El Barto? They'll be trying to twist the truth as much as they can to make it seem like they went through "such horrible tragic times".
"*Big Deep VH1 Voice* Kim Deal started binging on alcohol and drugs; rarely appearing to any of the scheduled Pixies concerts. So Black Francis and Joey Santiago programmed an android which played, sang, and looked just like the real Kim Deal to play at the concerts. Little remains of the android, though, a well respected fan known as J. Mascis claims to have the crotch as well as the infamous Trompe Le Monde alternate takes. We caught up to Mr. Mascis at one of his concerts. He told us that not only does he have the crotch of the Kim-Android, but also the chest region. We reported this to the local authorities and J. is now a sexual offender. Enough about the robots...and onto aliens. Coming up next: The true and mysterious story of Black Francis' alien abduction."

i've actually wanted to write(or actually, assemble) an oral history of the pixies. basically, i'd want to interview each person involved very in-depthly (way to make up a word bri) and then edit them all together and let the participants really tell the story. i actually (quite briefly) spoke to a publisher-type person about it and seemed somewhat interested. dave noisy, if i was to get some publishing interest, could you put me in touch w/ ken goes?
