I was flippin through the tv channels and caught a bit of this VH1 program. They were trying to reunite the 80's band Berlin. Then a thought popped into my head - could this show the Pixies will be playing be a VH1 orhcestrated get together? we know that Frank has already had contact with them because of that "80's Strikes Back" show. just a thought.

Here's how the show works as i understand it....
Some guy (the host), finds a band member, tells them that they would like to reunite the band for a show. once he or she agrees, the host hunts down another band member with the same request. this continues until all band members have agreed, then they get the band together somewhere (and maybe film them practicing?), as well as other footage. Finally, the band plays a show in front of a crowd and VH1 shows footage of that. |

I really don't like 80s music much, but this show has me pretty interested. I'm actually listening to a Romeo Void song right now. I suppose it could be a possibility (even though I doubt it, since they're mostly targeting early 80s/new wave bands, it seems), cause there's an ad for the show in the Jan 22nd issue of Rolling Stone...it says "10 Bands / 10 Nights" and there's 8 bands listed:

Romeo Void
A Flock of Seagulls
Berlin
Dramarama
Klymaxx

I don't think the Pixies are doing that show. I looked into it before when there were two seconds of Frank on I Love the 80's.

| I had a friend who kept telling me Frank Black was on those 80's Strikes Back shows, but I figured he was talking about that bald Barenaked Ladies guy. But then I did see him. So, I'm proud of my friend again. |
