i was listening to "announcement", from the oddballs c.d. the other day. i might be mistaken, but it sounds like lyle workman wasn't present during the recording of this particular song. it sounds like frank black plays the chords and then switches to lead, without anybody supporting him, except a really quiet acoustic guitar overdub. am i mistaken? |

No, it's Frank who's not playing. He said it in a cult-period interview and he didn't play the guitar as well when I saw them play the song live. |

Speaking of Oddballs, does anyone know who plays the lead guitar solo on Frank's version of Remake/Remodel? Whomever it is should be doing it all the time. Sounds like Hendrix.

Whenever there is an thread with Announcement in it I have to comment how much I love that song.
The extended intro and drums are phenomenal. Great song. |

It is an amazing song. One of my Top 5 FB tunes, fo' shizzle. Can't believe it was merely an oddball. |

I bet I could start a topic with any song (written by Frank) in the title and there would be atleast one person who said it was in their top 5. Guess it shows how high standard his writing is. |

i bet if you start a topic with "creature crawling" as the topic, no one will say that song is in their top 5. |

I looked for a cult to join, then decided to just play "Sink". Hey! I sank the LaBrea Tar Pits! |
