sad but true, none of my friends 'get' the pixies, so this means i am going to have to go to any reunion gig on my own, please, please, please take pity on me, based in the midlands, but pretty much up for traveling anywhere in the u.k, i am normal and promise not to kill anybody. |

Hey Hellboy! i´m in a similar situation, I have convinced some freinds though but I don´t think they´ll travel across Europe with me. So if Pixies is playing in Britain why don´t we have a pint before the gig! |

IF, and this is a big if, they do get back together and come to England we should definately all meet up if possible. Hopefully they would play Manchester but if not I would go anywhere. In fact I would go anywhere in the world if they didn't play the U.K (which is unlikely IF they do get back together). Most of my mates would come if they played Manchester and couple would travel anywhere in England with me but I'd be on my own in the states.
If I was gonna pick anywhere in the world other than the U.K then it would have to be Boston. Failing that then San Francisco 'cos I hear it's ace!!! |

i would travel anywhere in the uk to see them, and if anybody fancied a trip to the states i have friends in austin texas which is really cool place and i'm pretty sure they would play there as frank black has done quite a few gigs there, but yes a big meeting/drink would be most nice pre and post gig, and newcastle is great it reminds me of gotham city and anytime alex. |

I'll probably come to UK if needed. Ryan Air is quite cheap. See you there, hopefully. :) |

If the Pixies do get back together, they'd better not forget the US. I don't care how far I have to travel, but they'd better tour here! |

man, I am still ambivalent about this whole thing. Maybe the people looking for new material and the people waiting for the pixies to reunite could both be happy if the pixies record a new album and THEN go on tour next year or in the fall or winter to support it.

I dont see any value is them recording for Pixies material. Frank and Kim have both had a creative outlet for the last X years, and Frank has moved significantly on from those days. Any new material would not likely sound like Pixies anyways.
Maybe a Tour EP with a new song, some unreleased rarities (Boom Chick A Boom?) and a couple of live tracks.
(All conjecture on my part, of course)

i dont think hes lost his touch i think he writes differently these days but hes prolly been storing up some songs that sound like they would go with the pixies.. or waiting to write pixies songs with the rest of the band perhaps.. whatever he rules. |

actually, the best beer, by country/region, goes thusly: belgian german irish english american (micro-brews) eastern european (some great porters from russia and lithuania) mexico (although they're all german recipes)
it wasn't anything about anything |

Perhaps they'll reunite at a German beer festival, or something. For absolutely NO valid reason...

If you're based in the Midlands, Hellboy you won't have to travel far. If a reformed Pixies toured the UK, I'd say Birmingham would be a definite stopover. Stop worrying! |

yeah, i think birmingham stands a good chance, frank played at the academy not long ago, and i assume the venue would be the right size for the pixies...anyone coming? |

I'll be there with fucking bells on! Live near Blackpool so hopefully they would do Manchester but if not i would go anywhere(money permitting) We could all meet up and it would be lots and lots of fun. However hellboydce, i would be more inclined to go with you if you promised to kill somebody.
