This is not real news, just recounting a dream I had recently about "new" songs frank was recording and truffle was the only completed one I can recall, which sounded pretty special btw. Having listened thru both beatles/pixies versions of wild honey pie the previous day obviously planted the seed...
There's probably a similar "covers" thread out there, but am still curious to know what other songs you'd like to see fb+c cover in future???

Well, he covered Donovan's sleep, but I'd rather hear him play "Cosmic Wheels", as it is a much better Donovan song.
"Help me Scrape the Mucus off my Brain" by Ween. A beautiful song. Plus, it has a good country flavor in it...as does "Goodbye Lorraine".
"Long Walk Home" by Neil Young. One of the best Neil Young songs ever. It has a cool-as-the-boomerang-nebula time signature, too. |
