I got the Lynn, MA (my hometown) show on vinyl and a VCD of a live FB show (I forget what date at present). Did you guys get any FB or Pixies stuff for the Holidays? Either way, how was your Christmas and how was it spent??

i got me a 'vacuum tube preamplifier with limiter' & 3 sets of new guitar strings (so i can get our debut demo ep recorded), a strange Pino robot that makes scary noises and i can't quite work out how to shut it up, so it's back in the box at the moment, loads of chocolate, some nice aftershave (being a proper 'indie kid' i don't normally wear any, but shall try it out!), teachers series 1 dvd, and i think that's about all i can remember, oh some nice new pc speakers too, as my others were f***ed... no pixies or fb related presents though! my dad has been promising me a fb aaa pass from back in the mid 90's, but he hasn't found it yet or something...

As boring as it sounds, yet immensely useful to me and my wife, we got a washer and dryer from her parents. (That was extremely cool of them since we'll be moving at the first of the year! Yay! No more $15.00 trips to the laundromat, when we've let the clothes build up for a while!)

I didn't get any cool gadgets, but from my wife I got Max Payne 2, which I had wanted for awhile now, amongst a bunch of other things.

will do thanks! the thread where i brought it up was very useful, my dad's mate who used to have a home studio (i won't bore you with who recorded there, but it was an impressive list!) and he was shocked how cheap it was, as he spent a fortune on similar things 10 years ago... haven't got around to setting it all up yet as been busy post-christmas...

I gave a portable VOX guitar amp to my husband - I guess that's kinda FB-related....

Oh, and I got a new M-Audio surround sound card for my Mac. That *will* be FB-related.

The guy I work with just got back from Peru adopting a baby. He didn't have any time to buy anyone in the office anything, let alone his family. We understand. While at work on the 24th he pulls up Ebay and types in Rare Frank Black. He turns to me and says "Do you have the Nadine single?" I shake my head and he clicks "buy it now". That will be my one Frank Black Christmas gift when he brings it in next week.

It's the Cooking Vinyl single with Snake Oil and Ludwigshafen. If he didn't get it for me I probably wouldn't have bought it ever.

Holy Crap, that's cool galoof! You even know Kane's Donuts :)

There's some debate as to whether the Lynn bootleg is really from Lynn. Perhaps you might know the truth. I'll surely email you later.

My girlfriend got me tickets to see Frank at Cobb's Comedy in San Francisco. She cut up the newspaper advertisement into a jigsaw puzzle, and when I put it together and saw the "Frank Black" part, I was quite surprised. I didn't even know he was playing. Merry Christmas!

Ahhh... ?? clueless...I feel silly for asking, heheh.
I only ask ya cause I've been doing a bunch of digital camera research, and I remembered running across someone describing a similar problem with their camera interface. it had something to do with the fact that they could only delete the last photo taken, or ALL of the photos - it was just the way the camera was programmed, not a bug.... I know how it feels to lose all your pictures - with my old Canon s10, the in-box software was really really buggy (one of the reasons I finally bit the bullet and looked for a new camera), and I would frequently have to delete photos from the smart card because for some reason, the software would corrupt them, and the browser would crash every time I connected the camera. So, barring it just being a "feature" of the camera's interface, I guess it's down to either the sw, the memory storage device (if you're using one), or the on-board memory, which might be flaking out on you.

I realize you weren't asking, but with all the reading up on this crap I've been doing, I thought I might as well let you know what I found, for whatever it's worth.
