Hey everyone, it’s that time of year again…that time to cause chaos and give cheer…the holidays are here and so is Mötley Crüe's MUSIC TO CRASH YOUR CAR TO, VOLUME 1. This is for those who have been nice and especially for those who have been naughty. This box set is just ridiculous. It’s everything and anything you’ve been asking for from Mötley Crüe circa 1981-1987. This little groupie comes in faux iguana skin and a 60-page booklet with dirty little secrets and revealing photos of the Crüe…big hair, heels and all. This is a 4 disc special…Disc One of VOLUME 1 brings together the original Leathur Records versions and Elektra Records remixes of the band's debut album TOO FAST FOR LOVE, including the landmark title track. Disc Two reprises 1983's SHOUT AT THE DEVIL, including "Looks That Kill," plus a handful of demos and rarities. Disc Three focuses on 1985's THEATRE OF PAIN, with the band's first Top 40 pop hit, a cover of Brownsville Station's "Smokin' In The Boys' Room," and again various demos and rough mixes. Disc Four takes on 1987's GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS, with its hit title track and a slew of live cuts and instrumental bonuses. Ho Ho Hoes for the Holidays…make this Christmas a merry Mötley Christmas . |

Imagine the horror...I grew up in a very rural area where you were considered a complete freak if you disliked the Crüe. Needless to say it helped shape my sociopathic side. That's the one on the left...
I looked for a cult to join, then decided to just play "Sink". Hey! I sank the LaBrea Tar Pits! |

SpudBoy,
I grew up with those rural area blues, too. Unfortunately, I succumbed to the Crue in 1983. For a couple of years there, they were among my favorites. Once I found the Ramones, Clash, and Sex Pistols I forgot all about Motley Crue and their ilk. Their first two records aren't that bad, though. Maybe it's a nostalgic-type for me. Having said that, I don't own any Crue on cd. |

I never gave in to the hair band thing, but I can see how it would be inevitable after so long. I moved out before it hit critical mass, but I did earn a healthy respect for Bourbon.

Is that seriously the Title? I can remember when Vince Neil killed a member of Honoi Rocks in a car crash. How ironic....or not.
