Every "best of the year" list I've seen seems to be unaware that Frank Black, Stephen Malkmus, and Paul Westerberg all released albums this year. And the new Sense Field album is getting no praise when it's one of the better records that is based on the Sunny Day Real Estate/Jimmy Eat World sound (yeah, I know Jimmy Eat World is, well, Jimmy Eat World, but they've had some fine moments in the past.

I know exactly what you mean....I dont know if it's like this in other cities, but in Little Rock the radio stations seem to play teh same 20 or 30 songs over and over ad infinitum

Yeah don't even get me started on that "Bring Me To Life" song. If I ever hear that again it will be too soon. The other day my friend asked me if I had heard the acoustic version because "it's really pretty", yeah just what I want to hear a slightly different version of a horrible song I've already heard far too many times.

The best thing about this list is the American writers desperately trying to sound like they're hip with the whole East End of London garage thing. Yo, down with the Walthamstow massive.
I think they were right with Outkast, though. I'd probably put it top of my list, or close to. And I still can't get enough of Hey Ya.
