Probably pretty obvious, but my vote would have to be "Jerry Springer." About seven years ago it was mildly amusing, but now it's just sad. But, obviously someone watches it because it's still on! How many times can someone watch scraggly redneck women with torn-off shirts cussing and throwing chairs at one another?

No, I'd say it's been using actors for a while now. I remember back when it first became so outrageous, around '98 I think, and I'd watch it on my lunch break at school and think it was pretty funny. Now almost six years later it's still on, with the same shtick they had to start out with. It's pathetic. How can enough people watch that drivel to keep it on the air so long? The punchline was realized long, long ago, I wish they'd move on to something else. Ah well, I guess there's nothing left for Jerry Springer to do now that he's made himself into such a pathetic joke. (Is it true that guy used to be mayor, and then a valid reporter?!)

On the topic of Springer, has anyone seen this new (I think) show called "Cheaters"? It's terrific. It's sort of a cross between Springer, Cops, and the Paris Hilton sex tape. If you're bored late on a weekend afternoon (the coveted Baywatch, Xena, VIP timeslot) with a crappy UHF station in your vicinity then you've probably caught a glimpse of it.
So, anyway, if you've seen it, do you think these people are real or actors? On one hand, the situations are so unbelievably preposterous that it couldn't possibly be real. But on the other hand, the actors/participants are completely convincing. I don't think a real actor could pull off what these people are saying/doing with sincerity. If it's fake, these people deserve to take home every Emmy ever produced.
Worst sitcom ever is probably "Becker". |

actualy, the one episode of cheaters I saw had some of the worst acting I've ever seen.....maybe I just caught a bad one. I certainly hope that if that were real the boyfriend would be a little more upset about his girlfriend showing up with a camera crew while he's out with some other girl

Cheaters is fucking great...I love that show. I wish I'd catch it more often. I never stopped to think it could be fake. I really like the host the most, though(st). He's cool as hell, he's always getting in their face like "What were you thinking? You have kids at home. You're doing this to your wife? What's wrong with you?" and the commentary that the announcer gives over the videos of the cheaters is fucking hilarious. There were 2 fat people smoking a joint in one video and he's talkin like "...exhaling smoke from their blowholes..." or something like that. Cheaters is the best.

I think infomercials should count. STOP THE INSANITY! That lady should be drawn and quartered on principal. Where is she now? Fat and lonely in a trailer park, I'd wager. While I'm on the subject: Hey IceCream! Whatchoo got against retarded kangaroos?? Wanna start something?

Yes I have to agree that The Pitts was definatly one of the worst ALL-TIME-WORST tv shows ever...and it horrifies me to this day, because I think I sat through all four episodes...my jaw scraping the floor...my brain trying to defy the signals my eyes and ears were sending it. Does anyone remember the episode with the VW Bug that talked and became the daughter's boyfriend? There was a montage sequence of the girl and the car spending a fun-filled day together doing zany 'lover' things...and the song accompanying this sequence is forever burned into my mind and I can't shake it!!!
"I'm in love with an automobile, and an automobile is in love with me..."
Anyhow, I believe the worst show to be the unbearable SMALL WONDER with Vickie the robot. This show is seriously disturbing. Seriously disturbing. I think it was what drove me to alcoholism.

"Small Wonder?" Are you daft, man? That show was totally revolutionary and innovative! A robot posing as a little girl? What's not to like?!
My least favorite show has got to be "Valerie's Family" which is on in syndication where I live. That lame-ass Skippy. Damn Sandy Duncan. Anyone remember the theme song?

How about that asinine show that was on ABC a few years ago called "Dinosaurs" The sitcom about the family of dinosaurs and the annoying little fat dino-baby that would always say "I'M the BABY!" God that show was a low point in human history.

I would have to say the worst show, Well not the worst but still pretty crappy is "Punkd", Basicly because Ahstion Kutcher thinks hes the shit or something and he thinks hes like a god of comedy or something. Really I hate the guy, For the first few seasons it was alright then it got to the point of him just acting like he was the only thing on television. Anyways that and its on the worst network on the face of the planet, Thats right... Show a little indie hate for MTV.

Clone High got canned because the production company couldnt sell it overseas. Something about Ghandi being a party animal poser thingy not going over well in, umm, well, most of the rest of the world. But I really liked that show too and wanted to know what happened after they got frozed at the prom.

I agree with the finding Nemo but that's it.
Home movies is pretty cool, it's that dry, sarcastic humour that kinda takes a long time to get where it's going..but I like it.
And Has anyone ever heard of Clone High??? I'm not saying it's a bad show, it's actually very funny but I just want to know If I'm the only one in here that knows it exists...that would be a shame.
And now, your moment of zen...

Remember the song about the Baby? I'm the Baby gotta love me? The best thing about this show is when the Simpsons made fun of it...I guess the writers of the Simpsons or the critics just felt it was a ripoff of the Simpsons. So they're sitting there watching the show, and the kid is like "Don't have a Stegasauraus, man!" and Bart or Homer was like "Wow, it's like someone looked at our life and wrote a show about it!" Classic.

Yeah I think I recall that episode...now that you mention it it is a pretty lame rip-off of the Simpsons. Have you ever noticed that most cartoons that do any sort of parody (like Family Guy, The Critic, etc.) have NEVER been able to come up with a really funny parody of the Simpsons? I don't even know if I've seen any of them try. You? But I've seen the Simpsons parody plenty of shows, I think I remember seeing one recently that they parodied South Park. (That show is a guilty pleasure for me...)
