OK, I ripped this off from Tanya Donelly's "Slumberland" site. The first link is to a Cambridge MA club schedule where they play on Dec 18. The second is a band site with a picture of our beloved Rich & band. This second site is said to include mp3s but I haven't explored to find them yet. Didn't immediately happen on any links. Does anybody know about this act? Wonder how they compare to the Blackstone Valley Sinners.

I did go to this, that place has some interesting regulars. Rich was playing the Mellow Musician dude. I was getting hit on by a overly tan man straight out of the Russian mob, so we didn't stay for the entire set. But it was good to see Rich and his strummy la-la band.

Sorry the experience wasn't the best. How was the music? Could you say more about "mellow" and "strummy la-la"? Anybody else go?

There were about 5 people in the band. Including Rich, a drummer who look liked Sam Shepard, & a pedal steel guitarist who looked like Cripin Glover (this is a game of my friend's and mine).

I am not a musician so I don't know the technical names of things or whatever, but the music was cool. All instrumental (at least what we saw) and kind of Rockabilly and twangy. I liked it.

It wasn't a bad experience, it was just a little Twilight Zone-y.

Yeah, I was reading them yesterday (while looking to see my quotes pop up!) and noticed that they are pretty ancient. And most importantly, McDave's is pretty bare!

Sadly, it is a busy time for the cult of Frank. Next year...
