Hey, new here, here to stay.
I've done a modicum of searching, and I haven't been able to find any videos for purchase of either the Pixies or Frank Black. There were several Pixies videos that I loved. I'm sure there are a few Frank Black videos I've never seen. (I really don't watch MTV at all since Beavis and Butthead stopped airing.) Speaking of which, I always loved the episode where they watched the video for "Los Angeles" and are impressed by smashing all the lightbulbs and decree that the music rocks.
I recall seeing "Headache" and probably my favorite "Men in Black". Certainly there are more. WHERE CAN I GET THEM? What I'm dreaming of is a big DVD compilation, but I'll take anything. Why can't I buy the complete Pixies Videography? Have I just missed some source that everyone one here is familiar with? (I hope to the Ghost of Johny Horton that's the case.)
Thanks for indulging a newbie. And just to make sure this qualifies as a FB thread....why not mention your favorite video for good measure. As I mentioned, mine is Men in Black. I love the part where the bright light gets turned on "I'm watching my back...(pause, cue light) ...etc" And the cool eerie sense that something is about to happen the whole song long, only nothing does (unless you count that peanut butter and jelly sandwich).

well the pixies videos are all going to be on the upcoming DVD released sometime in the first half of next year (i think). as for the frank videos, i know some can be viewed on www.rollingstone.com, some are on the frankblack.net ftp i believe (you can get information on that in the ftp section of the forum), and im sure the others can be found on sites like launch.com.

Yeah, sheepishly noticed the day prior to my post there was a blurb about the new Pixies DVD. Its not exactly what I had in mind...but its a nice collection. Maybe better than what I'd envisioned.
Yeah, seems like there are various web versions of FB videos available...guess I'm just looking for better quality in a nice shiny package. Plus...I've just got a dial-up man, it takes a long time to download some of this stuff.
Thanks for directing me to those sites though...I'll see what I can find over the next couple days. |

I read an interview where he said they made a very low budget video for Robert Onion.
That's all I know about that. |

Dammit! I wet my pants watching that Nadine video. I've always been pretty easy to entertain, but that cat's eyes are insane. There were at least three times I started laughing out loud.
Strangely, I've noticed my eyes do exactly the same thing when I listen to the CD. What's up with that?
For some reason beyond me, I have had no luck in viewing the other videos on file at RollingStone.com. I will go on dreaming of DVD quality copies of FB videos. "Free at last...free at last..."
Well they could treat you real nice......or put a tracking device...WAY down inside. |
