If he ever comes across this post, here's a neat idea he should consider.
It's nice to have little themes for albums, although sometimes vague. Consider writing songs in threes or fours tunes. Within that group, have one theme or a story, which continues from song to song.
It'll be presenting interesting (hopefully) accounts of fiction of the struggling man, since that has been his overall theme lately. Albums, therefore, would simply contain 3-5 storylines...perfect for worthy consumption by the masses.
