I would like to recommend this band to you (Franz Ferdinand) They are a Glasgow band and have only released a single so far (Darts Of Pleasure) but i think they're great. Some of the UK FB-netters might have seen them on Jools Holland last Friday.

I don't know his first name, I've only heard him referred to as Archduke Ferdinand.
I want to be an Archduke.

Yeah, I guess an Archduke can boss about all of the plain Dukes. Means you are in the firing line though which is a bit of a downside.

| Bedrock you're right. The Archduke was Franz according to my WW I history book. I guess there is no limit to the number of possible band names. |

Yes, you're all very clever.
They are a pretty good band, did fine on Later. Better than 22-20's, anyway.

yeah, they're quite cool. i like that franz ferdinand song, my german friend likes it too, as they sing in german near the end, i think he said they sing something like "Our name is fantastic"... definately one of the more interesting bands to appear recently...

I don't know German and i can't remember the line exactly but it's something like "das iss fantastische"...great line :)
They've got a good dynamic too...all lined up and slightly synchronised. |
