I remember one time WAY back in the day (pre-Pistolero maybe?) that Frank wanted to record "an electronic sounding album" with They Might Be Giants. I read this on an interview somewhere on the internet -- I go as far back as the iMusic Frank Black board that evolved into the Abstract Plain mailing list, so I'm definitely an old timer, and it COULD'VE been posted on that board and it COULD'VE been hearsay and it PROBABLY is as it was NEVER released, but y'know. What the fuck was I talking about again?

Actually, Shaq is shorter than Joan and, as you know, Jean is taller than Joan, but still looks up to Jane. And nobody knows what's happened to Jasmine. So, the answer is: Frank Black has already recorded his next album.

My hopes..
1)Collaborate with The Thorns and focus on the melody and harmonies.
2)Hook up with either Bob Mould or Tom Waits
3)Hook up with either John Lennon, Elliott Smith, or that president back in 1963.

I'm really worried the next one will be ALL country and nothing else. I would cry... a lot!

I don't think the next album will be "all country". In fact, when I saw the Catholics last month in concert, I expected a very countryish gig, and it was all the contrary, even the country songs were done rock-style.
