So, I suppose we shall all meet at the door to Powerplant at 8:30 or so? Aside from knowing it's on campus I have absolutely no idea where to find it. Campus maps don't seem to show it...

and its really close (West I think) to the Rutherford Library.

I met Derek long before fb.net in DC (from AbstractPlain). I also met mdisanto, Lisa, Jack, Pete, and Eric (from AbstractPlain). In addition to these fine folks, I also met Bohemoth (in 2000 and later in 2002) and I believe I briefly glanced at Useyourname. Did I forget anybody?

Oh yeah, the plan. I'm not sure I can make it there for 8:30 as I'm going to the football game beforehand. That starts at five and if I can't get my buddy to bounce early, as soon as it's over we're catching the train down to the university and I'll see you there.
If you want to recognize me, my jacket has a crime-scene style body outline on the back - that's how most people know it's me. If that doesn't work, you Saskatchewan boys should recognize us by the Riders face paint. Like I said though, I'll still try to get there on time but I promised this guy before the season if the Eskimos and Riders met in the playoffs I'd go represent Rider Pride with him. If it's cold enough he'll leave early.
On that other note, this will be the first time I've met anyone from this board. Although I once met someone I had conversed with on the internet for a couple years. After meeting her we never got in touch with each other again, don't know why.

I could never visit Abstract Plain. I mean, I went there a few times but the format really rubbed me the wrong way.
I think I've only met the big galoof and even then I don't think we spoke; we were just at the same show, standing right near each other and talked about it later.

Sounds good, Crispy, haven't packed yet, so no idea what I'll have, but we should be able to track 'ya down. I forgot about the time change so we actually get there with enough time to drop our stuff off, I think, and grab a bite perhaps. Glad you're cheering on the Riders, I'd like to be doing that, too, but I'm hoping that I'll be cheering them on at the Grey Cup in Regina this year. I got my tix and I'm pretty excited to be there for that, actually. Though I will be infinitely moreso if the Riders are in it.

Yes ma'am, I was. The face paint we went without due to the weather, but it was a bit too crowded to think everyone could see all the jackets. Great show though, eh?

We looked for ya, Crispy. I looked for the jacket, the paint, or a guy with a Fubar hat. Nothin'. When did you get there? Mike & I were standing at the door for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time waiting for Carolyn to show up. :) You might've walked by us.
They do an awesome job up there and all really seemed into it. I was pretty impressed overall and happy I saw it. It even made me forget about the %^@$%^(@*^%@)*^%@#'ers that made that %^#^#$%^#^%&ing awful call in the closing minute of the game. Video replay should be used in situations like that. Then they'd be able to see that it was a horrific call. Now I don't even know who to cheer for in Regina this weekend. I hate BOTH teams now. :)

I got there a little after nine o'clock, so I probably did walk right by you guys...bummer. We were already at the game when I remembered the hat, but I had my jacket on. We didn't do the face paint either, but he was still dressed up a bit for the show - kept on his Riders shirt and his Bobby Jurasin head rag.
The game was crazy, as I guess you saw - but a solid third of the crowd was gone by the time Glenn came in. They almost missed the comeback to end all comebacks, but no matter how much I love 'em, the Riders didn't deserve to win.
So yeah, too bad I missed you guys; let me know if you're ever coming back around. I will, of course, do likewise.

Yeah, well Glenn should've been brought in in the second quarter. You're right that they played a godawful game up until that point and probably didn't deserve to win on that basis, but the fact was that that comeback was pretty impressive in the last 3 mins and the correct call would've been in Saskatchewan's favour at the end there since both teams were equally guilty of holding and interference and so forth. One Edmonton player was completely holding a Rider back by the jersey right in front of the ref that made the call. But whatever...
We were in by nine, so you prolly didn't walk past us then, we would've been standing at the bar on the stage side. But we'll let you know the next time we're in for sure.
