Ok. This is related to the previous set of lyrics.
I'm living in this movie but it doesn't move me I'm the man that's waiting for the phone to ring Hear it ring-a-ding-a-fucking-ding
One of my fave songs. Hope it isn't too easy.
"I have been enslaved by the Cult of Ming / He is ever so merciless...unlike that nice Mr Black." |

You're correct!! Welcome to the boards.
Your turn and no obscure 1960's French lyrics please!

Don't worry, I'll be fair. This one shouldn't be too difficult.
I can turn and walk away Or I can fire the gun Staring at the sky Staring at the sun Whichever I choose It amounts to the same Absolutely nothing

Good answer, Cheeseman. You see, Bedrock Barney, no obscure french lyrics, just a reference to the french writer Albert Camus, whose book "L'étranger" inspired Robert Smith when he composed that song.
Your turn, Cheeseman ...

OK, bear with me while I think of some more...
"I've been a long time that I'm waiting, And been a long time that I'm blown, I've been a long time that I've wandered, Through the people that I've known: Oh, and if you would and you could, Straighten my new mind's eye."

Obviously you need help. Think of a male duck, and an ex-Spice Girl's debut solo album (yes I am slightly embarrased for knowing this).

Nope, but that was a classy cartoon
Okay folks, try this one: I've seen the morning in the mountains of Alaska I've seen the sunset in the east and in the west; I've sang the glory that was Rome, And passed the hound dog singer's home; It still seems for the best.

I cheated. Google-ed it.
I'd never heard this song, but it's actually pretty good. To me, it sounds very much like something Frank might be writing, like, right now.

Well done andyn, couldn't resist using the lyrics from it, just got Slade in Flame on DVD. The best ever film by a band (and that includes all the beatles films)

I know it's not a band but 'The Man Who Fell To Earth' with Bowie is pretty fine. |
