What's this? Does anyone have info on the newly recorded FB & the C's album? Recorded in August? This rumor is way too exciting not to be expanded upon...
Are there any "band insiders" out there who might elaborate...
Maybe tell us the players on it...the instruments...the feel...something...anything? |

I heard it was 12 songs, 7 originals and 5 covers or something like that. Floop also mentioned that Frank said something about he and Dave P recording some stuff together.
Can't wait to hear 'em all!

| I heard that it was songs like Pan American Highway, and the other b-sides off of DITS singles.... plus cover versions... (hopefully John The Revelator (which I have only heard him play once... but which sounded really good)) but thats all I know. For all I know it just could be a rumour, although it would be cool if Frank does release a new album soonish. Not that I give a f*ck but I am sure the press will give him some shit if he does release another album so soon after a double album. I also hope there are a load of new tunes, which go back to Franks heavier style..... I too cannot wait to hear it! |

somehow i doubt he will go back to his heavier style anytime soon, if anything it will be some crazy new style that will be as cool as ever. either way i cant wait myself

It's not a rumor. Apparently he finished recording it in August. He said it's "a classic." 12 songs total...7 originals, 5 covers. The covers are of Reid Paley, Angst, the Stones, and Dylan. Pan American Highway is NOT on it...that was part of a similar subject but had nothing to do with the album. This is all that's known. And no, it hasn't been leaked to the internet yet. Wait till it's released.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure it won't be released until Spring, if not later. This is just a theory. |

I am not sure if anyone noticed that when Frank performed on 'Play' it said new song 'Manitoba' from upcoming album 'United States of Leland'?! Don't know if I was dreaming or what!? Anyone else see this?
