For those who were lucky enough to hear The Snake live: how is the saxophone solo? is it replaced by a guitar solo? how does it sound?

i heard him play it at McCabes earlier this year, but solo acoustic. so there were no solos..

but it was probably my favorite song of the night.

He played it in London and there was no saxaphone - so it must have been a guitar solo although I can't remember who played it. Someone must though. Someone?

Opened with The Snake in Orlando last March. Guitar solo, no sax. Sounded great.

I missed the lack of saxophone on the live version.

Guitar solo, and it was the live version that made me love this song. I didn't really care for it on SMYT, but it was awesome live.

Rich played it at the Astoria. He went predictably mental.
He also did this cool guitar solo on another song where he detuned and retuned his strings. Anyone remember what song that was on?

Ah, let's see what happens to my bandwidth...

Glasgow Garage, 28 September 2003:

(Not the best recording ever, and I remember being a little disappointed by the rendering at the time... maybe he should sing the next octave up from the start?)

The live version of The Snake is awesome.
When I hear the album version now, I feel like it's really slow and "weak" compared to what I heard a couple of weeks ago!

ps: the stupid rich solo is on cold heart of stone.
