yesterday i finally got to see "crime and punishment in suburbia".i noticed that fb and joey santiago are not only credited for "bullet" but also for some additional music score.actually during the film i noticed some surfy-joeyish guitar music and didn't pay any attention but it could be him.another detail:the fb and js music was recorded at "joey's kitchen studios".i think that joey's kitchen is the coolest in the world. after that,i saw "fight club" for the 59th time(great movie)and since i know it by heart, this time i paid more attention at the end tittles and i found out that b.pitt's personal make up artist was jean a. black.is she the ex?maybe she suggested using "where is my mind?"perhaps by "accidentaly" making b.pitt listen to it?anyway i wanted to share this with someone who knows what am i talking about(but probably wouldn't care less).

I read somewhere that FB didn't like crime and punishment in suburbia... and isn't there a Joey song on it? something with ''fuckers'' in the title
''it's not a box, it's a submarine'' |

just been looking at the soundtrack, is it a remix or different version of bullet? hard to tell with the start as it is, unsure if it's added fx or something? |

I just listened to that monkey gone to heaven clip by far and I so recognise it from somewhere but can't tell where. I think it was on an advert or a TV show, I never even knew it was meant to be Monkey gone to heaven. Anybody got any guesses on where I might have heard this?

The MGTH version is on the Pixies tribute album.
Jean A. Black. I believe Jean's middle name is "Marie" right? (Speedy Marie?).
Yeah, I rented Crime and Punishment in Suburbia...bad news. It had cool music, Guided by Voices plus the FB + Joey stuff. But, I mean, for a movie supposedly inspired by Dostoevsky...it had a pretty cheesy religious moral at the end. "Oooh, finding Jesus will complete me...it's okay to like Jesus, it's cool!" Blaaahh. |
