and it is good. I saw Hedwig for the first time yesterday and today my friends copy of the tribute album came in the mail. I thought Angry Inch would have been perfect for Frank (still do) but I saw the potential for Frank with the country twang of Sugar Daddy.

I had though Angry Inch would be perfect for the screaming but Frank managed a hell of a lot of screaming in Sugar Daddy. It's just really unfortunate that the song wasn't performed with the Catholics.

I heard Sugar Daddy fire up and I thought to myself, this HAS to be the song Frank is doing. And then I found out it was. But no Catholics? :( This totally calls for Dave on the pedal steel, or Rich.

How did you get to hear it?

Yeah the song is quite fitting. He performs it with Reid Paley interestingly enough. My friend pre-ordered hers (I believe from the Hedwig site) and got it, quite unexpectedly, this afternoon.

I listened to my instinct last night and put off doing homework to watch Hedwig. I'm glad I did b/c I hate litening to covers before hearing the original. I was gonna pre-order my copy today too but again the instinct kicked in and now I get to hear the whole cd before deciding if it's worth it.

Have any of you ordered it yet?

Ooh, I pre-ordered it weeks ago. Now where the hell is that mailman?!? The release date isn't until the 21st, but I guess they've already started shipping them. Eeee!

EDIT: Just tackled the mailman. I've only heard it once, but it's fun--it's like some psychotic jug-band version of Sugar Daddy. In addition to Reid Paley, Tony Maimone's on bass & James Murray on drums. I think it would be interesting to see what it would be like if it had gotten the full Catholic treatment.

I'm kind of glad it wasn't performed with the Catholics. It's nice to get some variety in Frank's extracurricular songs.

Got my copy weeks ago (having pre-ordered), and I'm marooned on a penal colony.

PS, do I get a little cat head now?
