I read somewhere (don't know if fact) that Black Francis was what FB's father always had wanted to name one of his sons.
And Frank Black, I don't know, seems like a logical switch? I'm not sure about the change there, I assume going solo would prompt one to have a solo identity. Just speculation on my part.

Dude, that's only 2 names. That's not A LOT to me. I mean 2 comes right after 1, which is a pretty fucking small number.
Oh yeah, he has a surname too. Sue the man. Why don't you ask the King in his court, maybe he can tell you.
Or maybe someone else knows something I don't.???
