Star Wars by far..mostly because it is a set story unlike Star Trek which just keeps changing it's form and keeps going till you're sick of it. Though I do like the original Star Trek...but everything else just gets on my nerves.

Star Trek is for boring people. I love Star Wars though because it has real characters with personalities and is deeper emotionally and isn't just about gadgets and logical thinking and technlogy and all that cold emotionless boring stuff.
One thing about Star Wars though it's a story about rebels defeating the empire and that makes it anti-british. Never thought of that did you? |

Star Trek done correctly isn't just about technology and "cold emotionless boring stuff," although I have to admit Star Trek does have alot of instances where that is the case. I think to counter your statement I'd have to say that Star Wars to me is much more of a fantasy tale with lots of technology thrown in, not really a sci-fi story. |

WHAT!? No way! It's totally the opposite. Now I love SW but Star Trek is all about emotion and what makes a human. SW is an excuse for blasting shit. ST examines personality whereas SW just takes things at face value.

I won't even reply to the "ST is for boring people post" because i'm sure many will counter more intelligently. But I do love a good quick binaary survey, so here goes.
Wookies or Klingons -- shit, even a child klingon (like Alexander, Worf's kid) could kick a wookie's ass
Ewoks or Tribbles -- that's one's a tie. Ewoks are cuddly and cute, but they pack a mean punch when pissed off. Tribbles are basically a furry virus.
Khan all the way. Much more of the elegant Satan character than just scary evil guy. Much more complex character, and classic dante-esque self=-tortourous.

Star Wars sucks. Good vs. Evil simplicity. I grew out of it by the second movie. |

Well here's my two penneth.
Star Wars - Pretty much agree with BLT. First movie was good fun (but then I did see it in 1977 when I was 10). Subsequent movies were laboured and some of the original magic was missing. The latest two I thought were very poor.
Star Trek - original series has a great nostagic feel. Good characterisations and quite a brave series to air in the 60's. All subsequent reincarnations (including movies) dull as dish water.
There you go. Put that in your pipe and smoke it |
