On Friday, I went to the doctor and received some bad news.
I'm HIV positive.
I don't understand. I never used needles. I always wear condoms and I'm not a hemophelliac. Why then?

This does pose an interesting question, are there subjects which should not be made into jokes, like AIDS, child porn, racism etc.
I tend to have few limits as to what can be made into jokes although child abuse jokes do piss me off sometimes, but thats just because of my job.

personally, i have a pretty sick sense of humor sometimes, so i don't really consider much of anything off-limits.. but it depends on whether it's funny or not.

Everyone has different sensitivities, so unless something is especially harsh, condescending, and offensive, I suppose that you just have to let the other stuff slide off your back. If he's joking, I find this topic to be in extremely poor taste, to put it nicely, and I tend to believe that he is, but there's really no way for me to know for sure, so I just don't post.
It's like those people that complained about The Family Guy and eventually led to the show's demise: if you don't like it, don't $%@&@#%& watch it. Who are you to say that the millions of people with a better (or at least broader) sense of humour than yourself should be unable to view it?
I'm with you, I do find certain things offensive, which I think are really edgy, but I don't know many people who think that what they find offensive really shouldn't be offensive.
