anyone got one too? (XBOX) THPS4 just came out and it's uber-sweet. Also LORT game just came out which concerns my BLACK RIDER post in general FB chat.
Also I play q3 (quake 3) everyday if anyone else is and wants to frag other "black heads yo"
ugh.
my quake name is "banky [bfdd]," and if anyone wants to play with my friends and I on my server check my profile for info.
Yeah, uh- um... the XBOX is uber-sweet. I am probably the only XBOX owner who has 2 dozen Chuck CDs stored onto their hard drive. If anyone wants to chat abot games let me know.

dave, if you have an AMD cpu you can get this program called VCool that takes unusued processor cycles and sleeps the processor during that time with no noticable performance hit. It helps a little during warcraft ive noticed eventhough it still gets pretty high. how hot does your get exactly?

Nope, P4 1.7.. I think it might be that i have three HD's going and they're all really hot. And also i don't have any case fans (besides the PSU and CPU).
I find my CPU will get over 70C pretty quicklike.. =(

I can overclock the snot out of it too, over 2.1, but i can't actually push it at those speeds..hahahaha
Any other cooling advice short of fans? (I gotta keep it quiet - recording box..)

i doubt any fan noise would be picked up in a recording, atleast it hasnt in my experience and i have no side to my case and 3 fans. get fans from www.2cooltek.com. i have a fan going out of the case and one over my processor and then a duct thing so it channels all hot air from the processor directly out. and then another fan down the bottom just for shits and giggles.

BF 1942 crashes either my pc or video card, but whichever it is, the screen goes blank with multicolored vertical lines, and my keyboard and mouse stops responding. Other than that, great game...
The only game I play now is Medal of Honor. Can't wait for the add on.
BTW...you know what's cool, to erm...cool your pc? A power supply with both an intake fan and an outgoing fan. My pc runs at 30C constantly, or 85F. |

hmm..i've got a Whisper PSU, it has two fans too..i have some other case fans kicking around, but they're definately waaaay too loud.
Mike - it definately gets picked up when recording anything with my mic (AT 4033). When setting it up i have to aim it so it's cutting out as much as possible.....i need to build an enclosure for my machine is what i gotta do...

Firstly, I don't have DSL/Cable service. Secondly, I don't like the idea of spending more money to play against other people 'LIVE'. Thirdly, my wife would kill me even if I tried.
I like free things. I will always remember playing games like Half-Life online for free, ahhh good times.
I hope to never get into MMORPG with monthly charges. What a world of losers (sorry if you're a user). It's bad enough my wife thinks everyone on message boards are geeks. Yes, I know, we are. It was great when it all began, my wife's a regular Frankie fan, it wasn't over when he had the plan, to start a-working as a solo man.

well i think itd just be sweet to play halo against people, basically the same as playing Half-life online, but i like halo better, mostly because the sniping is great. i heard it was gonnabe like 25 bucks for the first year which isnt too bad. but i dont even have an xbox so i guess i wouldnt be doing it either way

the unreal 2003 for Xbox on Nov. 15 (microsoft's birthday)
ought to be great on xbox live, but I am a Quaker.
The multiplayer sports games are really fun... sega on xbox titles are swwet. THPS4 is "illmattic."
I aint' never played that war craft 3 business?

warcraft3 is for computer though. its one of those games where you build an army of little men and fight them against other peoples armies online. i like it a lot though, lot of strategy and what have you.

It's a lot of strategy because...it's a realtime strategy game, foo! Sasquatch, I completely agree with you 110%. These console (l/g)amers don't know what they're missing. Cry about having to pay to play multiplayer (that is soooooo 1996) while I battle away against thousands of people for free...on my PC.

Jesus fellas, where do you think I play q3? On a playstation??? Pshaw. I play shitloads of PC games, and yes many of them are the shizznizzle, for example q3, counter strike, sof2, tribes, black and white, UT etc. etc. etc. XBOX live is going to be sweet though. I'll look into the warcarft. Sounds pretty sweet.

| WarCraft III singleplayer was *excellent*. It had an amazing storyline that I would love to see turned into a movie. Best singleplayer RTS I've ever played. |

| I can't play RTS games online...I've tried and tried again since C&C1, and I'm just no good...I'm not quick enough. I usually play offline skirmishes against the (cheating) computer, but this time around I got hooked on the single player game. It's very long, but very good. Again, excellent storyline. |

| I was never really a fan of deathmatch. Back in the days of Duke 3D and the early days of Quake, yeah, but once TF and CTF came out, I've been hooked on team games ever since. I'm playing Battlefield 1942 these days, and that's about it. |

| Yeah, I know. I played the UT2K3 demo and wasn't impressed at all. It looked and felt like UT, only slightly better (nothing that it's made out to be). I hate the Unreal engine, so I'm obviously biased. |

Yuck...BF1942 is the worst game I've bought...I bought into the vehicles AND first person gaming...but it's not good at either one...
Medal of Honor on the other hand is one great first person shooter! That's the only thing I play.
I also suck at RTS multiplayer. |

| Sorry you don't like it...it's a great game, and takes a little to get used to. The new patch is excellent. Medal of Honor was a great single player game, but one of the worst multiplayer games I've ever played. |
