Hey there.
I just picked up a new copy o' "Fantastic Planet" by Failure yesterday 'cause my old one just about cracked in half. I hadn't listened to it in a couple of years. I never knew that the majority of the songs on that album were about drugs the whole time I listened to them when I was younger. Maybe I totally missed the boat on that one, I don't know. I always just assumed they were traditional love-angst tunes so popular in alt-rock. Listen to "Dirty Blue Balloons." It added a whole new meaning.
Also picked up Year of the Rabbit. I don't know, I guess I've been on a renewed Ken Andrews kick recently.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. Douglas Adams |

Holy cow, I'm listening to Fantastic Planet right now. It's on "Pillowhead."
I'm seriously, if you are reading this message, you need to buy this album. It's freaking good. Buy it on a whim... don't even download any songs to preview it first.
Me and glacial can't be the only Failure fans here, where are you guys?

Hey, Proverbial, have you checked out Year of the Rabbit? They're not as good as Failure, but they are pretty damn good nonetheless. I really wonder why Failure -- or YOTR for that matter -- never got more radio play. They would fit in with the type of music that plays on alternative rock radio stations, yet they are about a million times better than most bands that you'll hear on said stations. |

Yeah I have Year of the Rabbit. I like it alot. There are some really good songs on there.
My friend said that "Saturday Saviour" use to get played on the radio. Probably not that much because I don't ever remember hearing it. But that might have been because I wasn't into Failure back then.
I still have to get Failure's other two albums. It's kind of weird I don't have them yet. For those of you wondering if Steve Albini produced Failure's first album, then the answer would be yes.
