seriously.. it's getting old.

it's not THAT funny anymore to wear a Pokemon t-shirt or an Alf t-shirt. we're inundated.

if i see another person with sunglasses, an AC/DC t-shirt and a shit-eating grin i'm going to punch them, possibly.

I agree dude, buzzword t-shirts are getting very tired too. I think I'm gonna start ordering my t's from Japan. 'Reggae hair style, rock and roll' could I be more japenese?

Give 1000 monkey's 1000 typewriters and you're gonna be reading bullshit for the rest of your life.

Does anyone else love Beavis and Butthead as much as I do? I,ve got every episode on tape, hehe. They had some good videos on that show you know. FB - Los Angeles, Tom Waits - I don't wanna grow up. Henry Rollins - I'm a liar (just kidding, it's not good). I still talk like them some times. Mike Judge pretty much summed up that whole generation of dumbfounded metal heads, like Todd.

Henry Rollins was in Black Flag, and you can't get cooler than that.

Man, I do wish he'd stop wearin' those larger-than-life ol' baggy sports shorts, though. Looks silly. heheh ;)

I actually got to see "TV Party" on MTV2 the other day - holy cripes that was a great video!

You're right, too may stupid postpostpost-modern ironic $30 "retro" silly reference t-shirts. And why are mullets cool all of a sudden? huh? HUH?! Is this the seventh seal?

Holy crap, You're right, floop! My sister keeps getting teased at college for being from Kentucky - it's her new nickname now. So she ordered this wanky tee shirt from Urban Outfitters in a doomed effort to be snide. It says "Get Lucky in Kentucky". ugh

I'd rather someone wear an AC DC shirt rather than some stupid Gap/hilfigger or whatever t shirt. Whenever I see someone in one I feel like asking them if that's where they get their self esteem, from wearing someone else's name. I still gotta make those antigap tshirts....

Nope just a circle with a slash.

It does make me incredibly mad though, it's like hey look at me I have enought expendible cash to go and buy this ridiculously overpriced lame t shirt, which makes me feel good about myself (and which also funds those incredibly stupid commercials.)

I hope my kids don't get in on this, I'm having a hard enough time not caving in on the whole Barbie thing....

Yeah, that's gotta be tough. My mom was a bra-burnin hippie chick, and somehow I managed to come into possession of one said Barbie. It was good, though. Like all well-adjusted children, I chopped her head off, after a prolonged installment of torture of course. ;)

floop, I think "kitsch" is the word for this...

kitsch - noun
1. artistic vulgarity: sentimentality, tastelessness, or ostentation in any of the arts
2. vulgar objects: collectively, decorative items that are regarded as tasteless, sentimental, or ostentatious in style

i understand that. i'm just saying, it's getting old.. ie. way too trendy..

like, selling Atari t-shirts at Urban Outfitters ..

i make my own fashion statement by being highly unironic/kitchy. that's right.

New year on campus here in northern CA and all the kiddies have shown up in their mass produced bowling alley, brothel, truck stop t-shirts. What happened to taking road trips and buying shirts from where you've gone?

Continuing on the aging male rant: and the skirts keep getting shorter. It's probably not PC to say, but sometimes the campus looks like it's been overrun by prostitutes.

Oooo, I get pissed off at that store Hot Topic for trying to bring back fads of the 80's. What's up with them selling Sesame Street shirts and Atari/Nintendo shirts? Screw them. Screw them for selling a Cookie Monster shirt for 20 dollars. And they have no right to sell "Goonies" t-shirts. I swear if I ever see a Pixies t-shirt in Hot Topic, I will burn that store to the ground along with all the Good Charlotte and Korn shirts contained in it.

I can't stand trendy stores like that. Do people think they are original when they shop there? Because they aren't.
