In Victoria we have 'Wave of Mutilation', they sound very authentic, and the singer is a shortish/pudgy guy, and he shaves his head when he plays. Very good. =) |

How often do these guys play around Victoria? Every couple months, twice a year or something? Everyone I know there seems to love the Pixies.

there's a band from Seattle called No. 13 Baby. i saw them play here in LA because i was just too curious. they sounded pretty great. cute female bassist and all.
David Lovering actually opened for them, which i thought was kind of sad.. but hey.
they had the guitar sound totally down.. it sounded undeniably great to hear that stuff live.. the singing (they all sing different stuff) was pretty okay.. no one can sing like Frank, so it was a valient effort. and enthusiastic.
they have a website

Yeah, I play in a "tribute". Considered cutting my hair for the full Francis look, but can't be arsed. It's all bout the music, yo.
