Last I tried, 8th Day was temporary down:
http://www.frankblacksuperstar.de
maybe when it goes back up they will also have a link to this forum. That would be cool.

8th day is back up now (but not all the way up) - and I like Martin very much, but it's possible frankblack.net will become a bit more comprehensive and definitive than his site. If that's the case - it is isn't it? - then the author and readers of this site should be aware that if this is it, keep it classy, keep it the best - give fb and his fans a good name. To be wishywashy further: I'd love to see fb's popularity and reputation increase positively because of this site, which in turn begets more records, bigger tours, whatnot. This is moot, isn't it... As for linking fb sites: note how sucky the label sites are, what without fresh news, etc. I know fb isn't making NME's front page daily, but it may be that all links will lead to this site, i.e. an NME article or even a fb record sleeve will note THIS site as THE site - and not the record lable site - for news, bio, home away from the stereo. All contributors to this site ought to feel lucky in this - again, look at Morrissey-solo.com - it is THE site, it's listed on Moz (best of) sleeves now. The fans are now Moz's PR agents as well. Maybe that's another side-effect of the www... whatever. It just might end up we all become the swiss guards of fb's rep, the advocates of his work and the crusaders for better contracts and bigger venues, even! It may sound far-fetched, but it's actually happening with many artists now - Edith Frost, The Cure, Skinny Puppy, Tom Tom Club, Hole (or what's left) - the good news is that mr. black seems to approve (?) of this site specifically. So, now yall work for him - and that's effing awesome. Don't be surprised if one day there's exclusive songs to this site, whatever other benefits might rain down for being consistent and the best site. Again, a little lofty, but what the hell else would this site be for? Mental masturbation for sure, but really, everyone here has at least one love in common, and I know first-hand that you do have to look REALLY HARD sometimes to find certain fb releases - so we're all to some degree fighters, and proud of it. Part groupee, sure, music snob, probably, patient, have to be to wait this long for this site to come around, intelligent - absolutely: look at the posts thusfar. Anyway, what were we talking about? Oh - links. Well, this will certainly be the cream of the crop - by miles and miles. I probably sound like a dumbass because I've only just signed up here - well, I'm personally in a hurry: I only just found a site of like-minded people 3 weeks before I leave the country for 2 years in the Peace Corps! I'm a die-hard fb fan, and I want a bucket of new records to buy when I come back. A big bucket! And not on mediocre labels that neither promote nor bother with artwork! That's all... oh ... and I'm jealous of all you who get to connect at this place for the next few years! I won't have the internet, so I'll not only miss all the deep discussions (hee) but um.. shows and stories and records! So, enjoy! When I come back I expect this site to be world renown!! And Leonard Cohen opening for the fb+c tour of 2005! I must be nuts...
