Frank was in Salt Lake on teh Hooked summer tour. My boss just emailed me the link with a few pics and a quicktime of them performing Gouge Away.
Enjoy!

Summer Outdoor Retailers Show August 8-11, 2002 Salt Lake City
To the delight of more than 2,000 fans, the Freeride Happy Hour at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show featured Frank Black & The Catholics - a dynamic musical group which gave a charged, emotional performance and left the crowd shouting for more.
Labeled as a "celebration of innovation in the outdoor industry," the Freeride Happy Hour lived up to its billing. Black and his band cranked up the guitar-driven performance at 6 pm sharp on Day Two of the Outdoor Retailer Summer Markets show, drawing a flood of jubilant fans, and kept them rapt with his combination of stylish guitar licks, hyper-creative lyrics and magnetic on-stage presence.
The standing-room only crowd packed the Salt Palace Convention Center Courtyard Plaza to capacity, as outdoor industry revelers enjoyed free music, free beer provided by Dos Equis, and free gear provided by the event' s sponsors: the Hooked on the Outdoors Village Tour, Salomon, W.L. Gore & Associates, the Utah Division of Business & Economic Development and the Utah Sports Commission.

So this was like a corporate show (not open to the public)? funny that we haven't heard about it till now.
hey, if you squint your eyes at that first picture, it kind looks like Dave McCaffrey is in the KKK. |

Man, that video was the lamest thing I've ever see. What was the deal when the guy ran in front the camera, something you'd normally edit out, and then they followed him when he ran away! shite. Cool whenever it showed Frank though. |
