For those who asked: no, it's not a mag about Lesbians in rock.
Now in pseudo-english with Babel Fish:
<<With the precision of a clock and watch maker, the ex-king of the rock'n'roll returns each year with a new album, in a more and more generalized anonymity. At this beginning of millenium, it is even last with two discs per annum. The precedents Black Letter Days and Devil' S Workshop (2002) missed conviction cruelly and were too often lost on the beaten paths of a wrongfully irritated rock'n'roll, under country influence. Even if Frank Black does not give up its steel-guitar, nor with its rocky voice of old routard (one would hear almost the noise of the boots of cowboy on My Favorite Kiss or Goodbye Lorraine), Show Me Your Tears more or less joins again with the glorious past of its Pixies. It is the case on Nadine, aggressive dialogue between a décomplexée guitar and Frank in power, or on excellent Massif Power station: a line of low omnipresent and a mutant voice for five minutes of revival jouissif. What to salivate while waiting for news of Pixies, reformed since this disc, handicapped by its lack of unit and humanity.>>
Hahaha. Massif Power Station. That's funny. I could correct the translation but it's funnier this way.
That's weird. SMYT wasn't received well by the French media. I've only read 3 reviews so far and 2 were less than great. I guess it sounds too 'american'. OR it's just because they suck. On the contrary, a lot of people said they liked the album a lot, even people who didn't like the previous records, so there's nothing to worry about really.

Undoubtedly, THEY SUCK. These bastards simply don't know what they're talking about. They even forgot what they wrote about BLD and DW one year ago... |

Yeah, I thought about that too. Well, they stopped caring about music a long time ago anyway. I wonder why they still have "rock" in the name of the mag.

these guys are TALIBANS. They're not allowed to laugh, not even smile. They've got shitty movie tastes, they give lessons to the whole world. "We, les Inrocks, know what's wrong and what's right, what's good and what's bad." I HATE THEM.
But I'll go to their festival... (king Of Leon, hot hot heat, black keys morning jacket, the Coral, Warlocks, sllepy jackson...)
"Look, let me explain something.I'm not Mr. Lebowski;you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing-- " The Big Lebowski |
