Anybody a Marshall Crenshaw fan? The guy puts out some pretty catchy pop songs. I use to have his first two albums which I really liked but the tape and the LP have long since fallen apart or been stolen. So, I haven't heard anything new from him for years.
Can anyone recommend any of his newer albums or should I just buy his best of album (something I usually avoid)? Also, he's coming to town soon, has anyone seen in concert? Is it a good show? |

Marshall's one of the true unsung power-pop geniuses the U.S. has produced. I haven't kept up with everything he's done, but I bought a FANTASTIC album of his just a few years ago that made me sit up and re-evaluate my feelings for his work. It was called "#447". I highly recommend it.
Interestingly enough, he just opened for Yo La Tengo of all people a few days ago in Jacksonville, Florida, which is about 2 hours from me, but I had a gig of my own and could not make it. What an odd double bill...
