The Yoko Ono we've always loved is back!!!!!

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/09/15/france.yoko.reut/index.html

I was getting a bit worried there that she'd gotten too conservative and businesslike, but obviously my worries were unfounded.

I have a craving for a single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man's hat.

Did you guys ever watch Dennis Leary's No Cure for Cancer, its probably one of the funniest shows I ever saw. He goes on a Yoko rant and starts flippin out about how many great musicians have been killed in plane crashes and so forth. Then he says John Lennon gets shot and Yoko's standing right beside him and NOT ONE BULLET!

Thanks for the link, blackpurse. Yoko is way cool.

When are you having that baby? It's getting close now, isn't it?

that's kind of a snore if you ask me.

i mean, as far as performance art goes, is that all she can come up with? how many more times can a performance artist make this "poignant" statment about nudity / age / exploitation etc..?

seriously, is nudity really shocking or artisticly subversive anymore? even if you are old and wrinkled? this has been done to DEATH..

i'm no performance art critic, but if i went to that i'd be asking for my 10 bucks back.

Yeah, but Yoko did this kind of stuff first (or was the one who made it famous). Kinda like Chuck Berry rambling through "Roll Over Beethoven". Yeah, it's a standard I IV V, and yeah, its been done done done, but he gets away with it because he was one of the first. Same with Yoko.

No, but she's one of the old classic crew of performance artists. Berry wasn't the first guy to run a blues i-iv-v into the ground, either.

I think Yoko's approach can be fresher if she did the Moonwalk, while nude, and grabbing her crotch area while yelping. I'd pay ten bucks to...err...maybe not...the wrinkled part scares me...no offense wrinkled people!

you're right, she deserves her props. the whole thing is just so passe, is all i'm saying. how much more of an unimaginative "performance art piece" can you possibly come up with? "i'm going get on stage and, get this, get NAKED! to me it's a meditation on the shallowness of our society and the exploitation of women's bodies.. blah blah.."

she could have at least gone all the way with it too. only down to the underwear is softing out in my opinion.
