Hey El Barto in particular and everyone else in general.

If you don't like the sight of gore, sure as FUCK do not see Rob Zombie's movie, "House of a Thousand Corpses." Maybe I'm getting older, or maybe some of Jim's aversion to gore rubbed off on me, but it kind of sickened me in parts. It wasn't exactly scary in a good way, just gross. Anyone else see it? I also rented "The Life of David Gale," which would be a good, calming movie to watch after that, but I have to go to class early tomorrow.

"House of a Thousand Corpses" was definitely a slasher movie in lieu of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," or "Night of the Living Dead," in that no graphic act is left to the imagination, and no one makes it out alive.

I'm going to bed.

No thank you! Life of David Gale is an excellent movie though, but it's pretty fucking depressing.

There was an X-ray in the paper two days ago that showed... well, here's the story.

An electrician is at the top of a ladder doing some wiring and the ladder starts to wobble. Well, most trades-people are trained or know to throw down anything in their hands in the scenario, so he throws down the power drill he's using. He ends up falling off the ladder and lands face-first on the drill which is sticking straight up with a big screw that goes through his eyeball and out the back of his cranium (this was a LARGE screw). The x-ray showed his skull with the drill bit in there. He survived because the drill bit only pushed the brain up, it didn't puncture it. They essentially unscrewed it to get it out. Of course, he lost the eye.

But I read that and the thought of it still makes me want to go into the fetal position.

That life of David Gale wasn't based on any true story was it?

That's a crazy picture and story. So I assume this guy is lucky to be alive right?

He only lost one eye? I hope he already saw Spy Kids 3D because it wouldn't have the same effect if you had only one eye.

That's actually the cover to "Far Beyond Driven," not "Vulgar Display of Power."
