I want to know what you guys like to ingest into your bodies, food, drugs, etc, to get you through a day. I expect to see lots of cigarette brands and alcohol but I hope to see some more interesting things. Here's some off the top o' my head.

1. Ginseng Extract 3000mg. When you have a big task ahead of you, it's 1-2 vials with a cup of hot tea. Maybe Earl Grey or Darjeeling. You'll be ready for anything.

2. Cereal with Vanilla soy milk and GoodSense Honey Roasted Soy nuts. I can live off of this if necessary and I do.

3. Kiwis - Kiwis are a staple of my diet

4. Nat Sherman MCDs - I really shouldn't be smoking; I just smoke intensely for about a month every 2 years or so. I don't know why.

5. Monster - it tastes like red bull and it's twice as big for the same price. NObody else likes it but I do.

I always start my day with a bowl of cereal (I go through phases when deciding on which cereal to eat..currently Cinnamon Life)...this I've done since the day I was born (I think). The only other thing that's a regular part of my 'diet' is Turkey Hill Green Tea...I drink about a half-gallon a day, and I've been drinking it for the past 2 years. I'm utterly shocked that I haven't gotten sick of it yet. It's just SO GOOD.

now add 1-2 vials of extra strength ginseng extract to your tea and you'll be all set.

I have cereal every morning as well as a glass of orange juice. Currently I'm enjoying Rice Chex, cocoa pebbles, and Complete wheat bran.

I try to drink as much water as I can, but occasionally a soda will slip in there. Can't resist. I don't drink alcohol really, but I turn 21 this month so I'm sure I'll have some occasionally. (yes I actually abide by that 21/alcohol law. Never really had the desire to get plastered.)

Caesar salads are excellent. Obviously some more quality than others.

As for fruits, I have to say Elton John has some good songs. . . I like strawberries, grapes, and bananas the most.

I love my mom's "roast chicken dinner" which usually involves side dishes such as rice, stuffing, corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. And who doesn't love a good steak? (except for vegans)

Spaghetti is great, and I love a plain old peanut butter sandwich as boring as that sounds.

1. straight vodka / martinis - Fuck beer, man; I don't touch that shit. This is where it's at.
2. toasted ravioli - I live in practically the only place in the world that likes this stuff, St. Louis.
3. Vicodin 750's - Having friends that attend the St. Louis College of Pharmacy is a definite perk.
4. Caesar Salad - Rad.
5. Quesidillas - Rad redux.

I dunno if I could eat/drink anything that took that long to say. Maybe you should shorten it to BS BAD flax smoothies.

Dave, do you have any good banana/strawberry smoothie recipes? Preferably without almond. I want to be able to make a simple smoothie in the comfort of my own home!

here's a smoothie for you; unfortunately it does indeed have almonds, but that's life:

Ingredients:
5 almonds
1 big dry fig
1 or 2 dates; a few nuts (e.g. cashew or pistachios)
a few filaments of Saffron
a few drops of rose water
Instructions:
The night before, soak the almonds in one bowl and the rest of the ingredients separately. In the morning peel the almonds - this will be made easier after the overnight soaking. Take off the pit from the dates and mix all the ingredients in the mixer, adding the saffron, the soaking water and extra water if needed to adjust the consistency (it should remain quite thick). Add a few drops of rose water before serving.

I forgot, I also take a lot of Kava. I'd down those Kava pills like they were candy, but I understand they've been taken off the market in damn near every country except mine. That's okay though as I will still drink the tea which is readily available here and is the best tasting tea of all and the best smelling and it's not even close.

Ew..that isn't a smoothie TII.

A smoothie is a thick, fruity beverage.

Here's what i do, just leave the almonds out:

In a blender:

1-2cups soy milk (prefer vanilla, chocolate for high-octane)
1-3 ripe banana, frozen if you want it nice and cold
1/4 cup berries (frozen, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc..)
~12 almonds (soaked overnight if convenient)
2 dates (softer kind)
1-2 tsp Flax Oil (the fat is a nice touch, and uber-healthy)
1-2 tps Maple syrup (for extra energy, if you so desire..)

Blend 'til smooth.

This sorta thing keeps me flying on my bicycle for a good 60km/2+hrs. Pretty easy to digest too.

Phew... I was afraid I'd have to resort to that strange concoction TII suggested. I was looking more along the lines of something banana-y and strawberry-y.

I'll have to give this a whirl sometime.

My favorite smoothie recipe -- tasty, and good for you in many ways:

1 cup of diluted unsweetened cranberry juice
1 scoopful of whey protein powder
2 tbs of flaxseed oil
1 tbs (start with a tsp and work your way up) of goudn psyllium husks (hey, this drink ain't called a "smoothie" for nuthin', ya know!)
1 cup of your favorite fruit, not bananas, though -- they make it too thick.

Whizz and enjoy. High protein and energy to keep you satieted all morning. Plus helps clean out all your "elimination" organs. No "anal leakage" here!

Cheesecake, New York style, baked vanilla cheesecake. I could eat it every day but I don't because I would get really fat.
I limit myself to one per month.
As for every day consumption it has to be toast with butter, tea and pasta. Fuck the Atkins diet.

yeah, the Atkins diet is ridiculous in my opinion. SO many people i know are on that now.. "i can't eat carbs".. blah blah.. how about, instead of going on freakish diets, exercising more?

you can lose a lot of weight cutting out carbs, but then what? either you begin a more healthy lifestyle, or you get fat again, and then go back on the atkins diet..

it's a viscious cycle i tell you.. (at least with people i know who've done it)

This is the epitome of how stupid the Atkins diet is:

Atkin's Zero Carb Syrup

I saw this at the store today..it's like Aunt Jamima's<sp> except it has no carbs..

The ingredients are something like:

water, natural maple flavor, natural flavor, guar gum, some-other gum, caramel color, sodium benzoete

That's just disgusting. Nowhere close to being 'food'. Yet somehow this is considered 'healthy'.
