Sorry I have no time to translate the whole text. The reviewer concludes, «Frank Black offers a sad, humble and generous rock album, which adds one more highlight to his recent discography».
I got SMYT (australian edition) yesterday and after 258 listenings I must say that I totally agree with the guy.

Is the Aussie edition any different to the US / European edition? Does anyone know if Frank is appreciated in Japan?

As far as I can judge, the Aussie and US / European editions are strictly the same.

I believe that FB is quite appreciated in Japan - maybe more appreciated than in Occident since Japanese editions often include bonus tracks (Valley of our Hope, Le Cigare Volant)...
