i'm sure like many of you here, i've seen frank black play a million times. too many to count, but i've never seen him play solo. who else is going to the show? i'm going to the saturday 10 oclock show. should be fun. is there a bar next to mccabes that i can get some drinks before i go in?

i'm going tonight at 10 and tomorrow night at 10.. word to your mothers..
chrisislies, there's a dive bar up the street called The Joker, that's probably the closest place. just go west on Pico. it's on the north side of the street. you could walk it.
this is like the 3rd McCabes thread.

 I live nearby. Allow me to recommend some drinking establishments:
On Pico, one block west is Lares Restaurant. Good Margs in a Mexican setting.
The Joker, The R n'R and The Daily Pint are total dives.
One block east is Flint's. Kinda' upscale, but drinks are creative and strong.
Three blocks east is The Liquid Kitty, specializing in good martinis. Very cool place with great music.
Finally, across the street from McCabes is Trader Joe's, where you'll find me in the parking lot, drinking excellent beer or wine on the cheap. Get there before 9pm.

I'm going to both 10 o'clock shows. I can't wait! I won't have time to get a drink tonight, I'm already running late, but I might head up early tomorrow.
