Ok no doubt, we've all heard the speculation of a reunion. Frank saying "I do dream about the Pixies reunion... It's like those schoolboy dreams when you don't do your homework and you don't study for the test, but I'm at the gig and we're hanging out, but it's an utter failure and I don't know the songs, and hardly anyone turns up for the gig and people walk out. That's what I'm afraid of, that it'd be a big, big failure."
(quite ambiguous on this one Farnk) so what's the deal? does anyone have any info? I can't find any updated fansite. I need answers!

| The original quote that he did in the UK was an attempt at sarcasm which apparently we didn't get. It was a pretty good marketing type um.. thing as then every music site in the world reported it and also informed us he had a new single and tour. Clever Frank. |

If that's the case then it's a shame that he has to use his Pixies reputation to sell his current band 'cos they are vastly inferior. I wish i could say that his Catholics stuff is great, but it isn't, i just can't lie. As soon as i think it is i will know i am officially middle of the road. I have fallen for it myself, i am going to see him in a couple of months but i would be kidding myself if i said it was 'cos i really want to hear him sing his Catholic's songs. I am going 'cos he is a genius and one of the two most influential people on me ever. Just to be in the same room as him will be inspiring performing songs which are still good, just not great like the Pixies. Nobody will ever be able to convince me that a Pixies reunion is a bad idea, not ever 'cos I'd give anything to see them live.

| Frank has told Exclaim, a Canadian music magazine, that the rumour was created to feed the British media back some of the sarcasm they're renowned for. As well, the board does have some ties to FB even if we aren't at the 'official' status... |

| Cult, do you have a link to that article? just curious, frank is talking about the pixies a lot lately, POSSIBLY just adding hype to the fire for a distant reunion, POSSIBLY :P, love frank and the catholics but i definetly wouldnt mind a pixies tour. |

PixieSteve, I don't know that sarcasm was necessarily the right word, but definitely he was toying with the British media because they're always decrying his solo stuff and talking about the Pixies 10 years later. Publicity stunt or not, I applaud. The thing about them touring all coutries beginning with Cz was actually posted as news by Dave Noisy on the forum as a joke but with the underlying message that it was confirmed that FB was not serious. |

If you want to ask questions without trying to find the answer first, you cant really say things like "yeah honestly. what is this guy going on?" seein as I quite clearly know more about it than yourself. Oh yeah and Frank is a member of the board he posts rarely. |

Wrong.
The person who made the initial statment had the onus of stating his/her source. Until that is done an objective reader should defintately question it's reliability. |
