You probly know I play in a Pixies "tribute" and that.. well, we're playing at The Venue in New Cross, London on Friday 24th October. Everything still has to be put in cement, but providing our 'Raw Deal' character can make it, we'll be there. Not that amazing, but we gig rarely and 'Kim' may be heading off to uni sometime, so it's kinda cool for us.
Come along and say hello, give me a heads up sometime before and I'll plop ya on the guestlist.

Just got off the phone with the promoter, all is going ahead. It'd be rad to have you guys come along and rock out, it's all very tasteful, we just have an wicked time on stage.

Yes indeedly.
Any idea if there's any hotels or B&Bs real close to the Venue? Don't much fancy driving 2 hours back home at 2am..

hmm, I'll have a think, but SE London isn't the worlds greatest place to find B&B's etc etc... although there's tons of students around there, so there might be something in the halls of residence at Goldsmiths? I'll have a good think though... its really close to Deptford as well, I'll have a good think... |

Cheers Jo. I guess a short drive isn't really a problem. The guy from the venue said he'd get us some numbers of places.

I'll try to make it as well. Never saw the Pixies live - I was into Vanilla Ice at the time - so this should make up for it. Looks like October's going to be a good month for Pixies/FB+C fans!

New flier, so we don't get sued! lol
If you do see the gig advertised anywhere, do me let me know.. I'm interesting in how much press the Venue are putting into this...they always advertise in the NME..

The Venue always have the side on the New Cross Road, as you drive up to it, with the bands painted in large white letters on a black board, which is always easy to spot
also, for anyone and everyone who goes to the gig, you must all get food from the very wonderful Uncle Wrinkle Chinese Takeaway (they have tables inside too, just a few) because its the greatest Chinese in the world and the food is amazing - its just a few doors down the New Cross Road towards New Cross Gate station... |

Hey Steve, www.phatism.co.uk does an excellent fake I.D fully printed with picture and holograph for about £15. It doesen't take too long for delivery either. |
