AGH! The fire alarm in the office (which is a series of shrill misshapen beeps) has been going off randomly and for long periods of time all morning and I think I'm starting to lose it!!!! SHUT UP! Whoo, that feels a bit better.

Well, you see, me saying "I see what you did there" is like saying - yeah, I understand it was a joke, but I'm not laughing. I UNDERSTAND the joke, but if it was funny, I probably would've laughed. For example:
You know:
Guy: That was punny.
Girl with bad sense of humour: lol.
Girl with great sense of humour (AKA you): <resigned/disgusted> I see what you did there.
Translation: I got the joke and understand how you cleverly used pun as a pun in place of funny, but I'm not laughing.
Think about it, you will realize it's brilliance, and then come to hate me. |
