OK, sorry guys. Too hard...
The diagram shown is a phaser diagram, though I thought that even though most people wouldn't know that, they would know that the two waves were out of phase (the result of which is destructive interference as shown). And of course, I could've used 'eyes' or even i's, but I thought it would make it too obvious, so I chose "lies".
So: phaser lies = Fazer Eyes.
Maybe someone else better go... :) |

Dean, please do not let the fact that your pictures which represent Frank Black song titles are extremely hard prevent you from creating them. I think you have some skills at the pictionary game. I personally suggest that you create another. |

Heh, well, you're too kind. Seriously. Cut it out. :) I'd still like to know what the one with the guy from South Park was, but perhaps tomorrow if nobody else does, you will hear from me again... |

I think it's Calistan. Or San Francistan. |

Definitely the latter of the two. :)
The only South Park character I know is Cartman... and I couldn't do much with it. |

Oh, nice work mere. Good on ya. Oh, wait a minute, I answered that one ages ago. Perhpas Dean should try reading posts other than his own, or ones that praise him. San Francistan indeed! |

Strangely, I did read that message, though I focused on the end because you'd repeated what I just said... |

Alright, here's another one as promised. This one should be a little more straighforward, methinks. Except there are a few places where you only use parts of the word or whatever, but, well, we'll see how it goes.

I am going to try to guess the song title that is represented by the set of pictures Dean posted on August 6, 2003, 14:14:22.
The first picture is of a rocket blasting off, so the first word might be "off".
The second picture is of Stan Lee, so the next word might be "lee".
The third picture is of a dove with something in its mouth. Perhaps the thing in the dove's mouth is a thyme leaf. Therefore, the third word might be "thyme".
The fourth picture is of a rickshaw. As far as I know, rickshaws are methods of transportation. In other words, people can come and go to places via a rickshaw. That is why I believe that the fourth word is "go".
The fifth picture is of a zebra. As said in Dean's post, "there are a few places where you only use parts of the word". 'Ra' is a part of the word 'zebra'. The fifth word, I think, might be "ra".
The sixth picture is identical to the second picture. However, the picture is probably not going to represent the same word twice. The sixth picture is also of Spiderman, who is a fictional superhero. 'Here' is part of the word 'superhero' (not in spelling, but in pronounciation). I believe that the sixth word is "here".
So I combined the words: "Off"-"Lee"-"Thyme"-"Go"-"Ra"-"Here". It most closely resembles the song "Every time I Go Around Here" from the 1993 album Frank Black. My answer is "Every time I Go Around Here". Am I wrong, Dean?

Hoo... it actually isn't that hard, but I wish I had made it that hard just so that I could tell you that is some awesome reasoning and it's correct, and then I'd look witty and you'd look witty and we'd sit back and chuckle about our collective wit.
I probably misled you a bit with the "part" of a word thing... I should have probably said part of the 'phrase' or name. As you did with the "lee" in Stan Lee's name, or the "off" in blasting off. (not saying they're correct, but it's the right idea). Zebra isn't broken down at all.
Try again, that's a pretty impressive guess. Just remember that I did actually make this one a little easier than the last (and now I feel bad). :) |

Well, I am going to take another guess. Maybe the song translates to "Last Stand of Shazeb Andleebs". My reasoning was that the pictures might be "Blast"-"Stan"-"Dove"-"[rick]Shaw"-"Zebra"-"Lee".

I am sorry to say that "Old Black Dawning" is incorrect. I think I might give a bit of a hint here......... The fact that the first picture is of a wand is insignificant. What is significant is the placement of the wand on the background. That's not the best hint, but it's all I could think of.

Seriously, "wand wing Don Lake (black)" almost works as a word jumble for Old Black Dawning. You end up with a couple left over letters but it is contained in those words. Weird shit. |

I gotta' confess to being stumped, although I'm impressed that you put it together and then un-jumbled it. I figure it's either something to do with slant/diagonal or contrast, wing, and probably some characteristic Don Lake is reputed for but which I don't know. But that hasn't helped me solve it... |

Actually, it has nothing to do with a characteristic of Don Lake. We already know everything we need to know about him. The wand picture is pretty hard to figure out the word for, but we already figured out the words for the last two pictures, and that might be enough. Should I just tell the answer?

I have it. THe last two words are wing-Don, so it has to be I'm Going Down. No clue about the "I'm go" part though.

Angle, I'd guess... angle wing don, don, don... I didn't realize he was going to do a cover, though... that's MY excuse. |

That is correct. The wand went from the bottom to the top from the left to the right. This is also the direction of an aigu, which is an accent mark commonly used in the French language. "Aigu"-"Wing"-Don" = "I'm Going Down".
I thought the aigu part was pretty hard, but Denis got it using the other two pictures. Well done. I don't understand what "I didn't realize he was going to do a cover" meant. We have done "666" and "Hang on to your Ego".
