Rentaghost!!! Now that was one crazy program!
How about 'The Adventure Game', do you remember that? (Like a proto-'Crystal Maze' but with folk that spokle backwards and spider plants that growled).
I think the 60s series of Batman would have to be a contender too...(though I can't believe that as I kid I used to take it so seriously). |

Hee hee, Bazza will like that. I love Bo Selectas David Brent, his actual dance in The Office was one of the funniest things I've ever seen, but I was very stoned.

The Office is great.
Best TV show ever -- Comedy Central's TV Funhouse. It was unbelievable what they got away with. |

chucksfan: I've only seen parts of TV Funhouse but shit, I wish they would put out the entire series on DVD. I love Robert Smigel's work...I saw the episode where the animals went Christmas caroling...holy shit that was great. |

Oh, that show with the animals! It made me cringe like a puritan sometimes, but the turtle used to crack me the hell up. "I'm takin' the pipes." |

Ha ha Rentaghost, I only just remembered that the woman who played the witch, is Gales mother in Corination Street. A show that was just as good or even better was Rod & Emu, Theres somebody at the door! Theres somebody at the door! Theres somebody at the door!, and so on and so forth. Poor Rod.

Wow Brackish girl, I can't believe you mentioned the wanderly wagon!! When my uncle was a teen he was living at home with parents in Ballyfermot and just getting into regular trouble when out with his mates. So RTE decided they wanted to a documentary about 'troubled youth' and all that stuff and ended up picking my uncle + friends to be the main focus of the show. So they all got to go back to RTE cause some of the show was set in a studio. While the producers backs were turned the rebels went and found the studio where 'Wanderly Wagon' is filmed and just wrecked the set. I don't really know if they got in trouble. My mum swears this story is true so I have to believe her. Always made me laugh :) |

Carl Kolchak's Night Stalker. Seemed scary when I was a kid. Darrin McGavin as Kolchak, Simon Oakland as Antonio Vincenzo. Great theme song, too. |

fair city is on now, so i will say that. of couse, its such a great depiction of middle class dublin. did anyone ever notice the amount of incest on soap operas these days? i don't know about american ones(dallas is the most modern one on irish terrestial tv) but all the australian, english and irish ones there seems to be a lot of long lost half brothers/sisters turning up and meeting their siblings before they realise they are related and falling in love.

I had a Banana Man pencil case at school. Did many people outside Canada and America watch Kids in the Hall, it was soo funny, but on really late at night on C4. Did anyone watch Wild Palms, I really liked that as a teenager.
