In the June issue of Rhythem Magazine there was a advert for the Corner Hotel in Melbourne. The ad had a listing of the up coming gigs for the month of july. One of the gigs was for Frank Black. I just want to confirm this with anyone that may have any info on this gig or any other gigs he may be doing in Australia.
I hope this is true, because unlike most people out there, we in Australia haven't been able to see him play live since he ventured on our shores way back in 1994. Now that is a long time to wait.

I would guess it is a solo gig. Maybe Frank and Jean are on vacation.

Pretty busy schedule in July currently, considering Frank is touring in Europe till July 11, and it looks like the Corner doesn't book in bands on a Monday these are the openings available for Frank to possibly play:

Tuesday 15th July
Wednesday 16th July
Sunday 20th July
Tuesday 22nd July
Saturday 26th July
Tuesday 29th July

I'll probably ring them again today to see if they can confirm a date.

IT's official, Frank Black is touring Australia in August !! no actual dates yet, but is playing sydney and melbourne . More news to come.....
