You know, I hate to hear people complain. I don't think bands should be dissed with "come to my town". But Las Vegas is so goddamn close to Frank Black's residence. Las Vegas exists. It's here. It's in the United States.
C'mon Frank's show booker. Whatta you say. Vegas. Gambling. No "last call" bars. Please. I'm begging anyone.

You know, you never hear of anybody in rock and roll playing Vegas, you'd think there was some kind of rock and roll bar that a band could pass through without that "Cesar's Palace" stigma that nobody wants to face up to till they're 50. Hopefully, it will eventually become kitsch and cool to "play Vegas" in an ironic way. I can't believe there isn't a market there to support it... |

You live in Vegas and get to live the 24-7 party life and for that I am jealous. But if you want good music, I guess you'll have to drive to Southern California!! You can't have it all. |

I know U2 and The Greatful Dead have played Vegas. Outdoor shows must start at 7am to beat the heat. |

It must be a real pain to have to drive "all the way" to any of the 4 million cities in close proximity to LV that Frank does play. Before he finally came to my hometown this April, the closest he ever came here was a two day car trip away. And I still went! And it was more than worth it, and I would/will do it again. So no complaining. Drive down to LA, or San Fran, or where ever and enjoy. |

I hate you people! You can have a two day drive and get to see a Frank Black show. If I take a two day drive I'll be rotting in a Serian jail. |

Yeah, I think there's a stigma to playing Vegas. "Hey, we're playing Vegas!" "Oh, I'm sorry, do you really need the money that bad?"
Nope, there's no city in driving distance to see a show. If you think Los Angeles or any town in Arizona or Utah is "close", then by all means, you can drive us when you move in, as long as you got room for me to stretch my feet out and sleep in the backseat.
I hate people complaining about shows, I just posted the whine as both drunk and silly.
