Yeah, and then that's the end of crap like her... luckily, people are generally pleased with their ignorance. And me with my supposed non-ignorance, though of course, I discover just how much more ignorant I am than I'd like to be on a daily basis. |

Problems w/ the review:
"A harsh, brutal debut packed full of tunely goodness..." it's not a DEBUT, ya moron.
"Not to worry - there probably aren't any real lyrics..." (in reference to Something Against You)...umm, actually, I think 'I've got something against you' would qualify as real lyrics. There are words, and they are used in the song. Those are LYRICS.
"it has Black Francis screaming like a demented gerbil. On heat." What is 'heat', some kind of new street drug? or do you mean IN HEAT, retard?
"Not only that but it influenced Kurt Cobain" Once again, the imperative (and highly annoying) Cobain tie-in
"I feel pretty confident I could convert nu-metallers to it's charms" Aside from the fact that nu-metallers are dumbasses who wouldn't know good music from their own asshole...you're not going to convert anybody with such an insufficient, misguided review so chock-full of inaccuracy and mistakes.
Sorry if this comes off as negative and bitter, but I'm just in a sour mood from a long and boring day at work. Bear with me....

That was certainly one of the most dim-witted reviews I have ever read in my life.
Though, like I said, I was consciously being a little harsh on the guy before. I like to do that sometimes.
It amuses me.
When i'm bored.
At work. |

About River Euphrates: "you just get Kim and Black Francis hypnotically repeating the phrase "Riding higher" over and over as the song builds before the finale!"
Riding higher ????

I've got Cobain's diary at work and Surfer Rosa is only number 10 among the albums that influenced him most.

Reading this had me trying to figure out if he really liked it or not. I know he gave it a five star but he seemed to be tearing it apart as he was praising it. He mentioned that Vamos could be used to scare someone (paraphrasing). When I was first listening to this was at work on a construction site and the part that I would always catch was Joey's dischordant riff. It was the first song that caught my attention. It is still one of my favorite songs. Shall I say "It Rocks"?

It didn't make me want to listen to the album, he made it sound a lot like "nu metal" I picture it being a nu metal album with quirky lyrics basically, based on that review. |

Heh... yeah, Freud was a bit into the traumatic experience root causes. And had something against his son... |
