I could be totally wrong here, but I think that this was the first album put live to two track by him, and this was the way it went down. The reason for the delay was that whatever larger music corporation he was locked in with at the time would not put out the album because they couldn't over sample the hell out of it. That was where the whole "it's not getting released because it's to raw" came from. I remember I picked it up at the show for that tour, and then it was a long time until it came out in the music shops. Apparently that was his way of getting out of his contract with the music company, more or less, here is my album, oh what, you don't like, well then it is you that is breaking the contract. I can't quote sources, its been a long time since I heard any of this and in all honesty, it could be total hoopla, but I thought that I would throw my two cents in. Oh, and for anyone who listens to vinyl, this is definitely worth picking up on vinyl. The only thing better sounding than Frank is Frank on vinyl. |

I'm confused. What does that mean?

Honestly, I was disappointed with this album when it came out. I was still fairly unhappy with "Cult of Ray" (which seemed a little half-baked at the time) and was wanting more of a TOTY sound. I eventually grew to love the first Catholics album, though. Long live Lyle Workman. |
